How Key OPD Metrics Impact your Business
- First Time Pick Rate (FTPR): Refers to how frequently the OPD shopper successfully picks the item on the first attempt. When the item is in-stock, in the correct location, and available for picking, the First Time Pick Rate is 100%.
- Top Nil Picks (Lost Sales): Nil Pick is an OPD metric that helps you understand how often customers place orders for an item, but an OPD shopper never picks the item and never selects a substitute item. Identifying stores with the highest Nil Pick rates allows you to target those stores for recovering lost sales.
- Pre-Substitute Rate: Indicates whether the item was found on the second attempt. If the item was found on the second attempt, the Pre-Substitute Rate is 100%. If the item was not found on the second attempt, the Pre-Substitute Rate is 0%.
- Post-Substitute Rate: Informs you about the frequency of item substitutions. If a substitute item is picked, the Post-Substitute Rate is 100%. If no substitution was attempted, the Post-Substitute Rate is 0%.
